Bhagwant Mann Government Felicitates Women Entrepreneurs Under ‘Apna Karobar, Apni Pehchaan’ in Punjab

The government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann organised a special programme under the ‘Apna Karobar, Apni Pehchaan’ initiative to honour women entrepreneurs from the Dirba constituency in Punjab. The event focused on recognising the achievements of women who have successfully established their own businesses and contributed to the local economy.

During the programme, several women entrepreneurs were felicitated for their efforts in building self-sustaining businesses. The government highlighted that women entrepreneurs are becoming symbols of self-reliance and are inspiring many others to pursue their own ventures.

Officials said that such initiatives aim to encourage more women to step into entrepreneurship and become financially independent. By supporting women-led businesses, the government hopes to strengthen grassroots economic development and expand employment opportunities across the state.

Women participants expressed gratitude

On the occasion, women participants expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for announcing monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 for mothers and sisters. They said the initiative would provide financial support to women and help strengthen their role in managing household and business responsibilities.

Officials further stated that the state government is working to create more opportunities for women through skill development, financial assistance programmes and entrepreneurship support schemes. These initiatives aim to help women expand their businesses and improve their economic standing.

The administration reiterated that empowering women economically is a key step toward building a stronger and more inclusive economy. By recognising and encouraging women entrepreneurs, the government hopes to inspire more women across Punjab to pursue independent ventures and contribute to the state’s overall development.
