Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi hoists Tricolour at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk; WATCH

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Beginning the final lap of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi hoisted the flag in Srinagar on Sunday, January 29. The Bharat Jodo Yatra is finally coming to an end. The last stop of the Rahul Gandhi let yatra will be Nehru Park in Srinagar’s Boulevard neighbourhood. Truly a remarkable feather in Rahul Gandhi’s political career, Bharat Jodo Yatra is being wrapped up after travelling 4,080 kilometres across 75 districts of the nation since it began in Kanyakumari on September 7.

After beginning march from the Srinagar’s Pantha Chowk around 10 am, Rahul Gandhi hoisted the flag in presence of sister Priyanka Gandhi and party leaders.

Bharat Jodo Yatra to culminate at Nehru Park

After Lal Chowk, the yatra will go till Nehru Park located in the Boulevard area of ​​the city. The yatra started at 10 am from Pantha Chowk in Srinagar and will halt for rest at Sonwar Chowk.

Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi started the journey with Priyanka Gandhi at 10:45 am. Hundreds of supporters were seen carrying tricolor and party flags during the yatra. The entire area around Lal Chowk has been sealed and a multi-layered security cordon has been deployed around the city center for Rahul Gandhi’s visit.

Opposition parties to attend closing ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra

Rahul Gandhi is expected to host a public meeting at SK Stadium on Monday. For this closing ceremony, the Congress has invited 23 parties. However, only 12 opposition parties have agreed to attend the event.

For the unversed, the Bharat Jodo Yatra began from Kanyakumari on September 7. It reached Pantha Chowk on the outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday after nearly 145 days covering 4,000 kms distance. According to the reports, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will host dinner at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Srinagar at 6 pm today. Along with Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, many party leaders are expected to attend the intimate gathering.
