Before the Assembly elections in Bihar, new development works are being inaugurated and foundation stones are being inaugurated continuously to help the voters. Now taking another step, the Union Cabinet has approved the opening of AIIMS in Darbhanga.
However the hospital was being demanded for years. AIIMS will be ready within four years at a cost of Rs 1264 crore.The second AIIMS of Bihar will be greatly benefited by the people of North Bihar. According to the primary project report, Darbhanga AIIMS will be of 750 beds. Flight service is going to start from Darbhanga before Chhath.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has announced this. He visited the airport here and then held a meeting with officials of the Government of Bihar and the Department of Aviation. After the meeting, Puri said that it was the dream of PM Narendra Modi to start air service from Mithilachal. Darbhanga will become the third airport in Bihar after Patna and Gaya.
Nitish Kumar laid the foundation of the new terminal at Darbhanga on 24 December 2018. The state government gave Rs 121 crore for land acquisition. It took 92 crore rupees to build the new terminal. 6 check-in counters will be made here. Arrangements have been made for 200 passengers at one time.
Apart from this, the project to build Indian Institute of Management (IIM) can also be approved. The demand for introducing IIM in Darbhanga has been in demand for a long time. IIM does not have a single campus in the state. The IIM formed in undivided Bihar has now moved to Jamshedpur, ie part of Jharkhand. The government has prepared a framework for both these projects.
