BJP has nominated former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb

Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has been made the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha by-election from Tripura. By-election will be held on September 22 for the Rajya Sabha seat that fell vacant after Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manik Saha became the Chief Minister of Tripura.

BJP has made Biplab Kumar Deb as its candidate from this seat.

Significantly, Manik Saha had resigned from the Rajya Sabha on July 4. By the way, his six-year term in the Upper House was to end on April 2, 2028. According to the Election Commission, the counting of votes will be done on September 22, an hour after the end of the voting.

Biplab Kumar Deb is a big face of Tripura politics. He has also been the CM of Tripura. Along with this, he has given his services in many big posts within the BJP.

At the time when Biplab Deb had to resign from the post of CM, the reason for his resignation was being told as his displeasure with the party, but who knew that the script after that resignation had already been written.

The resignation of Biplab Dev had created a stir in the politics of the country, but at that time no one knew that Biplab Dev would be sent to the Rajya Sabha.

Apart from being declared the candidate of Rajya Sabha, today Biplab Deb has also been appointed in-charge of Haryana. On Friday, the in-charges of about 15 districts were changed, in which Biplab Deb has been made in-charge of Haryana. At the same time, Prakash Javadekar, who was removed from the Modi cabinet, was made in-charge of Kerala. The responsibility of North East has been given to Sambit Patra.
