BJP Youth Leader Killed: BJP youth leader has been brutally murdered in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. Praveen Nettaru, who was killed in Sulia, was the district secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha.
A BJP youth wing worker was hacked to death by two bike-borne attackers in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district Tuesday night, said the police Wednesday.
‘The deceased has been identified as Praveen Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha worker who owned a poultry shop. The incident took place in Bellare village under the Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada at around 9.30 pm’, said a police official.
While there is anger among the workers over the death of the BJP Yuva Morcha leader, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has condemned this barbaric murder by tweeting –
“The barbaric killing of our party activist Praveen Nettaru from Dakshina Kannada district is condemnable. The perpetrators of such a heinous act will be arrested soon and punished under the law. May Praveen’s soul rest in peace. May God bless his family with the strength to bear this pain. Om Shanti,” tweeted Bommai.
Many BJP workers raised slogans of “We want justice” and protested the killing of the BJP Yuva Morcha worker in Bellari and Puttur.
It is worth mentioning that Bellari police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
