BL Santhosh Won’t Be Questioned For Now In MLA Poaching Case

The High Court of Telangana has given a big relief to BJP National General Secretary BL Santhosh. The court has stayed till December 5 the notice issued by the SIT police to BL Santosh in connection with the alleged horse-trading.

Earlier, the Telangana Police, probing the alleged horse-trading case of TRS MLAs in Telangana, had summoned top BJP leader and party general secretary BL Santhosh. The SIT had asked him to appear for questioning on November 21.

BL Santosh also filed a petition in the High Court

After the summons was issued, BJP leader BL Santosh also filed a petition in the High Court for interim bail. On this, a one-member bench of the High Court, while hearing the petition, ordered that the SIT should be headed by BJP’s National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh should not be arrested or strict action taken.

What is the whole matter

On the night of October 26, based on a complaint by one of the TRS MLAs, P Rohit Reddy, a case was registered against Ramachandra Bharti alias Satish Sharma, Nand Kumar and Simhaji Swamy under relevant sections – criminal conspiracy, offer of bribe and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. According to the prima facie, Rohit Reddy alleged that the accused offered him Rs 100 crore. In return, he had put a condition that he would have to leave TRS and join BJP.
