Engine and transmission

The 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine’s internals has undergone quite a few modifications by BMW. Although output stays steady at 34PS and 28Nm, in our VBox acceleration test, we discovered that it was slightly slower than its BS4 cousin. A slip-and-assist clutch has been added to the six-speed transmission.

The same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that drives the 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure, respectively, is used in both vehicles despite the 390 Adventure’s built to handle rugged terrain. The India-spec version of the vehicle’s engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a built-in quick-shifter.

Features

The redesigned LED front on the BS6 version of the G 310 GS is among the most significant upgrades. It provides more light than the earlier halogen unit and is identical to its naked twin, the G 310 R. The adventure motorcycle has a luxurious appearance that is enhanced by LED turn indicators. The LCD dash, which lacks smartphone connectivity, is still the only out-of-date component of the motorcycle.

KTM provides its traditional split LED headlights on the 390 Adventure, which are topped by a small wind deflector. Comparable to the 390 Duke’s instrument cluster. Split seats are provided for the bike. It also has an upswept exhaust to help it better traverse rivers. As an added measure of security, KTM has added cornering ABS, Street and Off-Road traction control modes to the ADV. A straightforward LCD cluster from the KTM 250 Adventure, the older sibling of the upcoming 390 Adventure X, is installed on it. Traction control and cornering ABS are other features the ADV X is missing.
