The procurement of Copra will be executed through a collaborative approach, with both the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF) serving as central nodal agencies. Additionally, state governments will play a crucial role in the procurement process, working closely with state-level corporations to facilitate smooth operations.

This decision underscores the government’s effort to ensure fair remuneration for farmers and promote agricultural sustainability. The MSP for Copra is expected to safeguard farmers from market fluctuations and provide a stable income, further encouraging Copra cultivation across the country.

The cooperative framework, involving both central and state agencies, aims to streamline the procurement process and enhance its efficiency, benefitting Copra growers nationwide. The announcement is being welcomed as a significant step towards achieving the government’s vision of doubling farmers’ income and bolstering the agricultural economy.

The decision reinforces the government's focus on agriculture as a cornerstone of economic and social development, ensuring the welfare of millions of farmers reliant on Copra production for their livelihoods.
