Godrej Properties Ltd on Friday said it has bought veteran film actor, director and producer Raj Kapoor’s bungalow in Mumbai’s Chembur. The company plans to develop a luxury residential project at the site.
The company told the stock market that this land has been bought from the Kapoor family, the legal heirs of Raj Kapoor. The value of the deal has not been disclosed. Earlier in May 2019, Godrej Properties had acquired RK Studios in Chembur from the Kapoor family to develop the Godrej RKS project.
“We are delighted to add this prestigious project to our portfolio and are grateful to the Kapoor family for giving us this opportunity,” said Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO, Godrej Properties.
