With rare exceptions, the only ways to directly invest in gold are through bullion, futures, and a select few specialty funds. Following a minor decline of 0.20 percent, gold futures with a December 5, 2023, maturity date were trading at Rs 59630 per 10 grammes on the MCX. Conversely, maturing silver futures showed a 0.93% gain on December 5, 2023, and were trading on the MCX at Rs 69380 a kilogramme.
