The ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is witnessing a major upgrade in the way food is served to devotees. Thanks to Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani’s generous support, the ISKCON Mega Kitchen has undergone a remarkable transformation. This change is enabling the kitchen to serve a significantly larger number of devotees during the grand event.
ISKCON’s Mega Kitchen, which has been serving prasadam (holy meals) to devotees during the Kumbh Mela, has now been revamped to meet the demands of the vast crowds expected at Maha Kumbh 2025. Deen Gopal Das, the manager of the kitchen, shared how Gautam Adani’s initiative helped increase its capacity tenfold. He explained, “Earlier, we could serve 5,000 to 10,000 devotees daily. But now, with Gautam Adani’s support, we serve prasadam to 1 lakh devotees every day.”

Gautam Adani's visit to Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh 2025 celebrations highlighted the industrialist's hands-on involvement in the project. Not only did he visit the ISKCON Mega Kitchen, but he also took part in preparing and distributing the ‘Mahaprasadam’ to the gathered devotees. His direct participation underscored the significance of the collaboration between the Adani Group and ISKCON.
With Gautam Adani’s support, ISKCON’s Mega Kitchen now operates 24/7 to accommodate the massive increase in demand. The kitchen starts food preparation at 2 AM, preparing around 50,000 meals by morning. Distribution begins at 9 AM, delivering prasadam to 15 designated locations within the Mela grounds. The meals are thoughtfully prepared with at least five different dishes as part of the prasadam, ensuring variety and nourishment for all.
Thanks to state-of-the-art cooking facilities, the ISKCON Mega Kitchen now operates more efficiently than ever. The process has been streamlined, allowing the kitchen to serve lakhs of devotees daily without compromising on quality or spirituality. Visitors to the kitchen can witness how food is prepared on such a large scale, making it a significant attraction during Maha Kumbh 2025.
The collaboration between ISKCON and Gautam Adani is a shining example of service and spirituality combined. Deen Gopal Das remarked that their service at the Kumbh Mela, which began in 2013, had always been limited to 5,000–10,000 meals per day. Now, thanks to Adani’s support, they can feed ten times more devotees, marking a new chapter for Maha Kumbh 2025.
