Stock Market Today: Dalal Street appeared to be off to a good start on Thursday as the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX traded higher by 81 points, or 0.37 percent, at 21,751. As the yen continued to rise, Tokyo stocks opened lower on Thursday. In early trading, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.61 percent, or 203.96 points, to 33,477.28, while the Topix index as a whole dropped 0.53 percent, or 12.61 points, to 2,352.79. Following two years of robust gains, the dollar suffered sharp losses on Thursday and appeared headed for a yearly decline as markets were gripped by expectations that the Federal Reserve would cut interest rates next year.

Tata Power Company

The Tata Group company has signed a share purchase agreement and acquired a 100% ownership position in the project special purpose vehicle Bikaner III Neemrana II Transmission. The purchase price comes to Rs 18.6 crore. The June 2023 special purpose vehicle will construct, own, run and transfer an electrical power transmission system in Rajasthan between Bikaner and Neemrana.

KPI Green Energy

The business and its affiliate KPIG Energia have put 17.35 MWp worth of solar power projects into service. As part of the company's captive power producer business segment, the projects were carried out on behalf of prestigious clients, specifically Jay Metal Tech, Reenam Fabrics, JPB Fibres, and Creative Technologies.

Zomato

The online meal delivery company Zomato Ltd.'s shares are under scrutiny after it notified stock exchanges that the Directorate General of GST Intelligence, Pune Zonal unit, had sent it a show-cause notice under Section 74(1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
