Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty indicates a flat start; Hindustan Unilever, Adani Enterprises in focus

Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX fell by 6 points, or 0.03 percent, to 21,948, indicating that Dalal Street would likely have a quiet Friday morning. On Thursday, the Nifty finished 124 points higher and made its first crossing of the 21,800 level, forming a respectable positive candle at the highs and suggesting an uptrend continuation pattern. The end-of-year rally in Asian stocks has been largely driven by investors’ expectations of a rate cut by the US Federal Reserve as early as March. Asian stocks opened cautiously on Friday.

Hindustan Unilever

HUL has altered its distributor margin structure by decreasing the fixed margin and raising the variable margin in an effort to maximise distribution costs and drive volumes.

Punjab National Bank

The Board of Punjab National Bank (PNB) has approved the proposal to raise equity capital through Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP)/Follow on Public Offer (FPO) for up to Rs 7,500 crore in one or more tranches during FY25.

Adani Enterprises

In order to take advantage of the $175 billion opportunity in the digitalization of the Indian economy, Adani Enterprises teams up with Sirius International Holding, a subsidiary of IHC (International Holding Company), to form Sirius JV, a joint venture.
