Stock Market Today: The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex Indian equity indices increased on Monday and set new all-time highs. Nifty began trading at 19,246.50 and increased by 0.4%, moving closer to the 19,300 mark. The Sensex, meanwhile, traded higher over 65,000 during the opening hours, peaking at 65,041.33. Additionally, Nifty Bank surpassed the 45,000 threshold and reached a new high.
Border Markets trading in green
The more general markets traded positively after the benchmarks. While Nifty Midcap 100 gained 0.40%, Nifty Smallcap 100 jumped 1.11%. The Nifty 100, Nifty 200, and Nifty 500 all increased by about 0.5%. Nifty Metal increased 1.28%, Nifty Auto increased 0.56%, and Nifty IT up 0.21% sectorally. As the indices traded flat, Nifty Realty and Nifty Pharma were the two losers.
Stock Market Today: Tokyo stocks and oil prices
After Wall Street rallied on indications of a slowing of inflation, Tokyo markets opened higher on Monday. The larger Topix index increased 1.04 percent, or 23.74 points, to 2,312.34, while the benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 1.30 percent, or 431.73 points, to 33,620.77 in early trade. As global macroeconomic challenges and potential future interest rate increases from the U.S. Federal Reserve outweighed expectations of tighter supplies due to OPEC+ cuts, oil prices declined in early Asian trade on Monday.
Tata Motors breaks above a resistance level
With a price of 600.7, Tata Motors has eclipsed its previous week’s high. This reflects a rise of 0.864751% for the current trading session. In a positive price breakout, Tata Motors has surpassed its initial resistance level (R1) of 600.36664 and is now trading at 600.7. This suggests that the price of the stock is moving with positive momentum.
