Top 5 stocks of the day: From Adani Enterprises to Axis Bank, here are the top gainers today

Top 5 stocks of the day: Adani Enterprises, Hindalco Industries, UPL, SBI and Axis Bank were among the biggest gainers on the Nifty. On the other hand, Britannia Industries, Power Grid Corporation, Cipla, BPCL and SBI Life Insurance lost the most. All the sectoral indices ended in the green with metal, bank,PSU Bank, oil & gas, information technology, capital goods, power and realty up 1-2 percent. BSE midcap and smallcap indices rose 1 percent each.

Top 5 stocks of the day: Sensex and NSE Nifty50

On March 1, Indian benchmark indices ended on a positive note, with Nifty hovering around 17,450. The Nifty increased 146.90 points or 0.85% to 17,450.90, while the Sensex increased 448.96 points or 0.76% to 59,411.08. A total of 129 shares are unchanged, while 2396 shares have increased and 1009 shares have decreased.

Welspun Corp gets contract for 83,000 MT bare pipes

A prestigious contract for the export of LSAW pipes and bends to the Middle East has been given to Welspun Corp. This work will be carried out in FY 23–24 from its facilities in Anjar, India.

The contract calls for approximately 83,000 MT of bare pipes with a coating option that the project owner may later exercise.

TVS Motor sales at 2.76 lakh units in February 2023

In February 2023, TVS Motor Company reported sales of 2,76,150 units, compared to 281,714 units in February 2022.

Sales of two-wheelers as a whole totaled 267,026 units in February 2023 as opposed to 267,625 units in February 2022. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased by 28% from 173,198 units in February 2022 to 221,402 units in February 2023, representing a growth rate.
