Top 5 stocks of the day: From Adani Ports to Hero MotoCorp, these stocks gained more than 0.55%, checkout others here

ONGC, Hero MotoCorp, NTPC, Adani Ports, and HCL Technologies were a few of the top gainers on the Nifty

Top 5 stocks of the day: Adani Ports, HCL Technologies, ONGC, Hero MotoCorp, and NTPC were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while top losers included UPL, SBI, SBI Life Insurance, Divis Labs, and Britannia Industries. FMCG, Bank, Pharma, and Metal saw 1% declines among all sectors. The BSE Smallcap Index fell 0.3% and the BSE Midcap Index fell 0.8 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down 197.80 points, or 0.91 percent, at 21,513, and the Sensex was down 670.93 points, or 0.93 percent, at 71,355.22 at the close. A little over 1733 shares rose, 1723 shares fell, and 75 shares remained unchanged. On January 8, benchmark indices saw a decline, with the Nifty closing at 21,500.

Adani Green Energy Limited and Godrej Industries

Today, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) revealed the redemption schedule for the USD 750 million 4.375 notes (Holdco Notes), which are due on September 9, 2024. Eight months before the maturity date, the outstanding amounts of the Holdco Notes shall be fully secured by cash balances placed aside as part of the various reserve accounts securing the Holdco Notes.
Gujarat’s government and Godrej Industries have inked a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In accordance with the terms of the MoU, the business may allocate Rs 600 crore over the course of the following four years for a major expansion project in Valia that will create 250 jobs.
