There were roughly 2,161 gains, 798 losses, and 79 unchanged shares. In the second pre-opening session, the Nifty was up by 2.00 points at 22,397.00, while the Sensex was nearly down by 81.12 points at 73,779.14. Now, the Nifty is up by 37.50 points at 22,376.30, while the Sensex is up by 60.80 points at 73,806.15. Meanwhile, 867 shares fell, 2277 shares increased, and 85 shares remained constant.

Paytm dropped more than 1%

Paytm dropped more than 1% on March 2, the day after Paytm Payments Bank was fined Rs 5.49 crore by the Financial Intelligence Unit-India for breaking money laundering regulations. “The penalty pertains to issues within a business segment that was discontinued two years ago,” Paytm Payments Bank stated in a statement. The bank has improved its reporting procedures to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and monitoring systems since then. Following the declaration by Paytm’s board that multiple inter-company agreements with Paytm Payments Bank would be terminated, this announcement was made.
