Twitter Blue – Did not elicit response from users

Prior to this Twitter had launched its paid verification program i.e Twitter Blue which was disastrous and did not elicit any response from Business Entities. Thereafter Musk announced that Twitter would launch a feature that will give Business Entities the capability to identify accounts that are associated with them.

There are spate of changes in the features of Micro Blogging giant, Twitter , it made an announcement that it would replace the ‘official’ label with a gold checkmark on some business accounts on Twitter. It also revealed that grey checkmark will be introduced for government and multilateral accounts. Twitter also thanked Twitter Blue subscribers and its advertisers for their feedback and support.

Twitter Blue when it was first introduced, soon after it was acquired by billionaire Elon Musk, it was briefly stopped by the firm due to the alarming impersonations it had encountered. Anyone could purchase a verified blue check through the Twitter Blue model for $8. This attracted trolls because many users paid the $8 fee and then immediately utilised their verified blue check to mimic well-known figures on the network.
