The 140hp, 242Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will be replaced with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160hp and 253Nm in the facelifted Kia Seltos. It is unknown which gearbox options will be offered with this new engine, compared to the present turbo-petrol engine, which is connected to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.

The Neo Plus will be offered in 7- and 9-seater versions, in contrast to the pre-facelift model’s 9-seater arrangement. Mahindra is likely to equip the SUV with the 120PS 2.2-litre diesel engine carried over from the previous model, with only minor cosmetic alterations made over the regular model.
