Check LPG gas prices city-wise on 1st April

The cost of cooking gas was reduced by around 92 on April 1. The rate cut, though, only applies to consumers of commercial gas cylinders.

Customers of domestic LPG gas have not seen a price adjustment. 14.2 kg petrol cylinder prices are unchanged from last month. The Center increased the cost of home cooking gas by 50 last month.

Interestingly, the government increased the cost of the commercial petrol cylinder by 350 rupees in March, and on Saturday, the price has decreased by 92 rupees.

In comparison to domestic LPG cylinders, the cost of commercial gas is always changing. A 19 kilogramme commercial gas cylinder cost 2,253 in Delhi as of April 1, 2022.

And as of right now, the costs have dropped to Rs 2,028. Only in Delhi have the prices for commercial gas cylinders reduced by 225 in the last year.

Separately, the government declared that beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) programme will receive a discount on home LPG gas cylinders.

Anurag Thakur, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, stated last month that each 14.2 kg LPG gas cylinder will receive a subsidy of 200 rupees annually for the 9.59 crore Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries. The Centre has set a 12-time annual maximum for refilling.
