Citroens Electric vehicled roadmap

After C3 Electric, Citroen intends to introduce numerous additional products in India. It will consist of larger automobiles like MPVs and CUVs. Citroen automobiles are now being produced in their plant in Thiruvallur, which is close to Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Citroen may consider investing in capacity expansion or even starting up new manufacturing facilities depending on demand. Citroen will concentrate on obtaining a high level of localisation for its electric vehicles. The battery packs will be the only significant component that is imported. The company now believes that finding batteries locally may not be feasible.

Additionally, Citroen may think about switching to locally made battery packs as the market develops. Citroen is optimistic about the Indian EV industry and projects that by 2025, EVs would account for between 5 and 10% of total new car sales. According to the company’s projections, EV penetration might reach 25% by 2030.
