Classic Mahindra Scorpio 4WD for Army spied in green colour, all we know

Mahindra Scorpio: India is actively stepping up its defence readiness due to the ongoing threat of a two-front conflict. Along the borders, infrastructure is being built, and new combat systems are being purchased. Reliable vehicles that can quickly transport personnel and supplies are another essential requirement. In order to achieve this, the Indian Army has ordered 1,470 Mahindra Scorpio Classic vehicles from Mahindra. Some army-spec Scorpio Classic units have been sighted at an open warehouse prior to their delivery.

Mahindra Scorpio for the Indian Army

The colour of the Scorpio Classic for the Indian Army is green, which is frequently used for army gear including uniforms and vehicles. When compared to Scorpio Classic, typical colour choices include Galaxy Grey, Red Rage, Dsat Silver, Pearl White, and Napoli Black. These units could be utilised for patrolling and people movement because there doesn’t seem to be any kind of camouflage on them.

However, given that the army will be receiving hundreds of Scorpio Classic 4WD vehicles, it’s probable that there could be further colour choices. The army-spec Scorpio Classic doesn’t seem to have undergone any significant changes from the outside. The typical slatted grille, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, substantial body cladding, and useful roof rails are all present.

Scorpio Classic 4WD for the Indian Army has also been improved because army vehicles need to be more durable. Black panels have been installed in replacement of the upper portion of the vertically stacked tail lights at the rear.  Including a trailer connection at the back is a significant improvement. A variety of transportable trolleys, portable small calibre artillery cannons, and other similar armament systems could be fastened to this. Badges for 4WD are visible at the back.

Interior and engine specifications

The interior of the Scorpio Classic seems to share a lot of the same technology as the normal version. The fully automatic climate control, 2nd row AC vents, faux leather steering wheel, tilt steering, 12V power outlet, and fabric seat upholstery are just a few of the vehicle’s standout features.

Dual airbags, collapsible steering, engine immobiliser, anti-theft warning, speed alert, and auto door lock while driving are among the safety features included with the Scorpio Classic. It’s probable that the Scorpio Classic’s army-spec equipment list has undergone some adjustments. These specifics, though, are probably going to remain private. Scorpio Classic uses a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a maximum output of 130 HP and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. It is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. It’s probable that the Scorpio Classic tuned for the Army has more power and torque. Additionally, it has 4WD, which is not available in the civilian-use ordinary variant.
