Commonwealth Game 2022: Neeraj Chopra congratulates Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem on CWG gold win

Commonwealth Game 2022: Pakistan’s Javelin Thrower player Arshad Nadeem has created history by winning gold in the Commonwealth match on Monday. This is Pakistan’s first gold in Javelin in the history of Commonwealth Games.

Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal in the throw of 90.18 meters in the Commonwealth Games 2022 being played in Birmingham, England. This achievement is also special for Arshad Nadeem because India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has not yet been able to throw the javelin for 90 meters.

However, Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra has not been able to participate in the Commonwealth Games due to poor fitness. Despite this, it was not easy for Arshad to win the gold here as he was facing Andersen Peters of Granada, who won the gold in the World Championship. Neeraj Chopra was in this match and he had to be content with silver.

Neeraj congratulated the athlete and wrote, “Congratulations Arshad bhai for Gold medal and crossing 90m with a new games record. Aage ke competitions ke liye all the best (Congratulations Arshad bhai for gold medal and crossing 90m with a new games record. Best of luck for future competitions.”

Grenada Anderson Peters finished second with 88.64m javelin throw. Yego of Kenya finished third with a javelin throw of 85.70m. Neeraj Chopra could not participate in the Commonwealth Games this time due to injury.
