In 571 days, this is the lowest number of new corona cases to be registered in a single day. Along with this, according to the latest data, the number of active patients in the country has come down to less than 90 thousand. That is, at present, less than 90 thousand people are undergoing treatment for corona in the country. The number of patients under treatment for Covid-19 in the country has come down to 88,993.

According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, with the arrival of 5,784 new cases of Covid-19 in India in a day, the total number of cases of infection has increased to 3,47,03,644 and the death toll due to loss of lives of 252 patients in the last 24 hours. The number has reached 4,75,888.

Active cases are 0.26%, which is only 1 percent of the total cases of infection and is at the lowest level since March 2020.

Daily positivity rate is at 0.58%. This rate has remained below 2% for the last 71 days.

Weekly positivity rate is at 0.68%, which is running below 1% for 30 days.

So far 133.88 crore doses of vaccine have been given under the vaccination drive in the country.
