The people of the national capital Delhi can get some relief from the heat today. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain in Delhi today. Due to which the weather can be a little cold. It has been said by the Meteorological Department that after witnessing several heatwaves in the month, there is a possibility of rain in the capital on Friday. Dust storm will occur with heavy rain at different places in the entire Delhi and adjoining areas of NCR (Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Noida). Heavy rain and strong winds with a speed of 40-60 km/h will occur at isolated places. This information was given by tweeting on behalf of IMD. On the other hand, due to rain, the mercury can reach up to 25 degree Celsius on Friday.

At the same time, with the increasing heat, the demand for electricity in Delhi has also increased significantly. Since March 1, Delhi’s electricity demand has seen an increase of over 42 per cent. At the same time, the demand for electricity reached 5,735 MW in the capital on April 19, which is the highest in the month of April. Electricity demand in Delhi has crossed 5,000 MW in the month of April. In fact, in the month of April, the demand for electricity in Delhi did not cross 5,000 MW even once in 2021 and 2020.
