Residents of the Migsun Green Mansion in Greater Noida are contesting efforts by some neighbours to build a temple in the common space of the surrounding area, claiming that it encroaches on a park that serves as the only playground for children in the building.

On April 29, a group of residents sent letters regarding the situation to the district magistrate (DM) and the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA).

The temple was not included in the project's prevalent original blueprint, according to CBS Yadav, head of the society's ad hoc AOA (Apartment Owners Association). According to Yadav, several locals have started constructing a shed-like construction without a permit and are receiving assistance from the constructor.

"We submitted a letter to the district magistrate and the UPSIDA on April 29. It (the temple) will not only curtail the common area, which is already under dispute for floor area ration (FAR) violation, but will also leave little space for children to play," Yadav said.

450 of the 554 flats in Migsun Green Mansion are occupied. The complex's occupation certificate (OC) and completion certificate (CC), both of which have been outstanding since 2016, are still being managed by the developer.

Residents claim that because the developer is still responsible for the society's upkeep, he or she is also responsible for preventing any incursion.

Residents of the society claim that UPSIDA regional manager Anil Kumar Sharma wrote to Surajpur SHO Avadhesh Pratap Singh about the situation. After the latter gave senior inspector Dharamveer Singh instructions to take action, police came to the society but were forced to leave.

Authorities visited the complex last week after receiving this order, but because neither a member of the residents' association that is erecting the structure nor the builder was accessible, they left. This claim was made by a resident.
