Presently, commuters to the Netaji Subhash Marg complain of heavy congestion, especially ever since the road was barricaded some time back for metro construction. Netaji Subhash Marg is the primary arterial road that connects Millennium City Centre metro station and Subash Chowk.

Gurugram News-Development Update

PC Meena, chief executive officer of GMDA, commented that officials have been instructed to undertake a series of measures. These measures would help in improving vehicle movement on main intersections and roads, especially among metro alignment and where major IT hubs and companies are based. The exit and entry points on these roads would now be optimized and slip roads, service roads and footpaths would be developed in areas that presently don’t have such services.

A senior GMDA official said the Sector 39 intersection would soon be upgraded as it faces heavy congestion. The official added large commercial buildings like the Cyber Park are based here, resulting in increased footfall. It was further commented that the GMDA would upgrade the intersection with improved entry & exit points along with better slip roads. Moreover, footpaths would be reconstructed under the proposed development plan.

Present-Day Situation

Presently, the designated entry and exit gates of Cyber Park junction open directly onto the main road. This frequently disrupts the flow of vehicles on the primary carriageway. GMDA officials have remarked that the road’s access points would be redesigned to make sure the smooth transition of vehicles on the primary carriageway from the service road. Furthermore, GMDA is also planning the construction of a slip road from the Jharsa village road towards the Millennium City Centre.
