Monsoon season is the most beautiful and refreshing one among the other seasons. It also brings lush greenery and much- needed relief from the scorching heat. But,along with this the season is also the harbinger of several illnesses and infections. The main reason behind this is change in the season,drop in humidity,mosquito breeding and the very common water logging due to heavy rainfall.

The three home remedies for monsoon are:

1. Mulethi or Licorice: Mulethi is an  ayurvedic remedy for cold, congestion, and sore throat. Grind the root into a powder or boil it like a kadha to help protect yourself and your family from illness.

2. Curcumin: Curcumin is a natural antibiotic. A bright yellow chemical which is produced by plants of the Curcuma longa species. Curcuminoids are present naturally in turmeric. Also it is anti-inflammatory. Use natural curcumin first rather than opting for the pharmaceutical one.

3. Garlic: Eating raw garlic cloves as the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach has a variety of health benefits. Garlic is anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antifungal.The best home remedy for persistent cold and cough, it helps rid the body of mucus formation.
