In the last 24 hours, 175 new cases of Corona Update have been reported in the country. While there is no news of death of any person due to corona infection. Earlier on Tuesday, 134 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country. While no 2 patients had died. In this way, as compared to yesterday, a rise of 41 has been recorded in the number of corona infections.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (January 4, 2023), 175 new cases of corona infection (Corona Update) were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, 191 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down to 2 thousand 570. A decrease of 12 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 79 thousand 191. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 45 thousand 854. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 707 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Ministry of Health, the number of people recovering from Corona (Corona Update) is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.80 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.17% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.15%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. Whereas active cases comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.11 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.
On August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with Corona virus (Corona Update) in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
