3194 new cases of corona reported in Delhi, positivity rate of 4.59%

The cases of Omicron variant and Corona virus are increasing continuously in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 3194 cases of corona virus have been reported, which is 15 percent more than on Saturday. The positivity rate in Delhi has increased to 4.59 percent. In the last 24 hours, 1156 people in Delhi have recovered from Corona. The number of active cases in Delhi has reached 8397. However, it is a matter of relief that in comparison to the total new corona patients in Delhi, the number of people admitted to the hospital is very less. There are 9024 beds in Delhi hospitals, out of which only 307 are filled, which is not even five percent.

There are 4191 beds in the Dedicated Covid Care Center, out of which only 195 beds are full. There are 140 dedicated Covid Health Centers, all of which are empty. There are 4759 patients in home isolation.

The rate of active corona patients in Delhi is 0.57 percent. The recovery rate is 97.69 percent. 69,650 tests were conducted in the capital in 24 hours. Out of this, RTPCR test is 59,897 and antigen is 9753.

So far 14,54,121 cases of corona have been reported in Delhi. With this, the total number of healthy patients has reached 14, 20, 615. So far 25,109 patients have died due to corona.

Accordingly, the corona death rate is 1.73 percent. According to the Health Bulletin of the Delhi Government, the total containment zones are 1621. During the last 24 hours, 534 calls were received on the Covid helpline number. While 1507 calls were received for ambulances.

In view of the increasing cases of corona, the Delhi government has announced a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am with a yellow alert. Also schools and colleges have been closed. 50 percent capacity has been implemented in Delhi Metro. Also, restrictions have been imposed in cinemas, malls and other public places.
