Bharat Biotech To Launch 1st Nasal Covid Vaccine

Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine iNCOVACC can be used both as primary vaccine and booster vaccine. This vaccine was recently approved as a heterologous booster dose in all people above 18 years of age. This means that even if you have got any vaccine, you can get Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine as a booster dose.

Bharat Biotech’s iNCOVACC was recently approved as the primary coronavirus nasal vaccine. This vaccine will also be given in two doses only. Both the doses will be given at a gap of 28 days.

Vaccine trial was done on 31 people

This vaccine was trialled in 31 people before being approved as the primary vaccine. This trial was done at 14 places in India, similarly to see its efficiency as a booster dose, it was tried in 875 people and this trial was done at 9 places.

291 new cases surfaced

After the arrival of 291 new cases of corona virus infection in India in a single day, the number of people infected so far in the country has increased to 4,46,71,853 while the number of patients under treatment has come down to 5,123. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Monday, the total death toll has increased to 5,30,614 after Kerala added two more cases to the list of people who lost their lives to the infection.

According to the information available on the website of the Ministry of Health, the number of patients under treatment in the country is 0.01 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national rate of people recovering from Covid-19 has increased to 98.80 percent. In the last 24 hours, a decrease of 140 cases has been registered in the number of patients under treatment.
