Delhi government dedicates 4 big private hospitals for Omicron

The Delhi government has also made 4 big private hospitals a dedicated center for the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron. These include Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Max Saket, Fortis Vasant Kunj and Batra Hospital Tughlakabad. Now Omicron can be treated in these hospitals too. With this, the number of dedicated hospitals for Omicron in the national capital Delhi has now increased to five.


Earlier, only Delhi Government’s Loknayak Jaiprakash Hospital was the dedicated center of Omicron. The Health Department of Delhi Government has issued an order in this regard.

On Friday (Yesterday, December 17), 10 new cases of Omicron variants were reported in Delhi. With this, the total cases of ‘Omicron’, a new form of corona virus in the national capital, have increased to 20. Of these, 10 people have been discharged from the hospital. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain had said that out of the 40 samples that were sent for genome sequencing, 10 have confirmed the ‘Omicron’ format.

So far, more than 100 cases of Omicron have been reported in 11 states across the country. The Union Health Ministry has advised 19 districts to take special vigilance and precaution.
