Ghaziabad News: Campaign Launched to Curb Maternal Deaths, Check Out How it Can Benefit Mothers

A novel health campaign is launched in Ghaziabad in response to rising maternal mortality. Learn about the essential support and care provided to pregnant women to prevent terrible deaths.

Ghaziabad News: As a result of heavy bleeding during or after delivery and low haemoglobin levels, the number of fatalities among women in Ghaziabad is rising quickly. Eight days into October, 10 women have passed away. The health department has made the decision to launch a unique campaign to stop deaths.

Comprehensive Health Initiative for Expectant Mothers

A survey of expectant mothers will be done as part of this campaign in both urban and rural locations. Every day, ASHA, ANM, and Anganwadi staff members will visit the homes of pregnant women in their communities to check on their health. Pregnant women will also receive routine vaccinations and education about healthy dietary practises. Every pregnant lady will receive a free health checkup as part of the special event that will be hosted on the first, ninth, sixteenth, and twenty-fourth of each month.

Critical Health Screening and Hospital Care for Expectant Mothers

In this test, it will also be determined whether the woman is anaemic or not; if she is, blood will be given to her right away if necessary. For labour and delivery, women will be admitted to the local hospital. More than 7000 ladies gave birth in hospitals in the previous six months. Of these, the District Women’s Hospital is home to the majority of births. Women frequently lose their lives after caesarean deliveries as a result of medical professionals’ negligence.

Addressing Maternal Care Negligence

Investigations into 32 of these cases last year revealed carelessness. Pregnant women would be identified from door to door thanks to the Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign, according to CMO Dr. Bhavatosh Shankhadhar.
