How Are Kidney Stones Formed? And How To Reduce Them?

Kidney stones are formed in urine when calcium and oxalate accumulate in urine in excess quantity. If you do not the right steps to reduce them or progeny their formation, they could prove fatal to you. There are three dietary tips that you need to follow to reduce these stones:

Reduce Salt Intake In Your Diet

The first thing is to reduce you salt intake to less than five gram a day. Doing this will reduce the secretion of calcium in urine, whether you eat white salt, Himalayan salt or pink salt, as the content of sodium is same in all these salts.

Eat Citric Fruits And Vegetables

You need to include fruits and vegetables that are citrate rich in your diet, such lemon, oranges, mausami, and kiwi. As a result, secretion of calcium will reduce in your urine, and you will be able to prevent formation of kidney stones. In addition, cut down on eating oxalate rich foods, such as spinach, beetroot, sweet potato, sweetened drinks, etc.

Hydrate Yourself

For this, drink at least 2.5 liter of water in a day. This will prevent the formation of kidney stones.
