UNICEF chief Henrietta Fore has said that the 'sad' and 'horrifying' status of Covid-19 in India is a bell of danger for the whole world.
With this, he has asked the international community to help India. At the same time, United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) has also sent several medical instruments related to life safety including surgical masks to India to help in dealing with Covid-19.
UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore said on Tuesday, "This tragic situation arising out of Covid-19 in India is a alarm bell for all of us."
Till the time the world does not help India, not only in this region, but in the whole world, there will be reports of deaths due to virus, mutation of virus, delay in supply.
The second wave of corona is going on in the country and due to this, more than 3 lakh cases of infections and more than 3 thousand deaths are being recorded daily for the past few days.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 2 crore cases and 2.26 lakh deaths have been reported in India so far.
Last week, 46 percent of all the cases reported in the whole world are from India. Similarly, 25 percent of total deaths occurred in India .
