What Is Vitamin D Deficiency And How Does It Affect You?

Vitamin D deficiency means that there is scarcity of this vitamin in your body. Basically, it makes your bones and muscles weak. Although it is important for your bones and muscles, it also plays an indispensable role in your nervous systems, musculoskeletal system and immunity. So, you are suffering from winter blues, then it could be a sign of vitamin D deficiency in your body. Do not consider it for your weak bones. For this, you can have consultation with a doctor.

You have vitamin D deficiency in your body when you do not get sufficient vitamin D in your diet or through sunlight. Also, your body is not absorbing vitamin D. From a medical point of view, it could be due to certain medical conditions, weight loss surgeries and certain medications.
