Hike In Toll Tax?

The journey of the common man is going to be more expensive now because the National Highways Authority of India (NHI) has decided to increase the toll tax by Rs 10 to 65 from 1 April. The toll for small vehicles plying on the National Highway has been increased by Rs 10-15, while the toll tax for commercial vehicles has been increased by Rs 65.

So if you travel daily on the National Highway, then now you will have to increase your toll budget a bit.

Toll tax increased by 10-15 percent

Talking about the expressway, starting from Sarai Kale Khan till Kashi toll plaza, where Rs 140 was earlier to be paid for car and jeep, now Rs 155 will have to be paid for it. From Sarai Kale Khan itself, at Rasulpur Sikrod Plaza, now the drivers will have to pay 100, while for Bhojpur, they will have to pay 130 rupees. Toll tax has been increased here by 10-15 percent for many types of vehicles.

There is currently no toll block on Hardoi Highway in the existing 6 National Highways connecting to Lucknow, while the changed toll rates are going to be implemented in Sitapur from October. Apart from these two, if you want to go to Kanpur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli and Sultanpur, then from tonight, people will have to pay toll tax at the increased rate. On Lucknow Rae Bareli Highway, now small vehicles will have to pay Rs 105, while for bus-truck it will cost Rs 360.

Vehicles going from Lucknow to Ayodhya will now have to pay Rs 110 for small private vehicles, while Rs 365 for trucks or buses will be charged here. Nawabganj Plaza on Lucknow-Kanpur highway has also become expensive, in which small vehicles will have to pay a toll of Rs 90 and commercial vehicles Rs 295. On the same lines, from Lucknow to Sultanpur highway, now you will have to pay Rs 95 for small vehicles and Rs 325 for double axle vehicles.
