Honda Shine 100 vs TVS Radeon: Two of the best in segment compared on Price and Specs? Read before you buy

Honda Shine 100 vs TVS Radeon: The Indian two-wheeler market is one of the most fiercely contested segments in the world. With a plethora of options available in the market, it can be a daunting task for customers to choose the right bike for their daily commute. In this article, we compare two of the most popular commuter bikes in the 110cc segment – the TVS Radeon and the Honda Shine 100.

Design and Features

The Honda Shine 100 is a simple and functional commuter bike with a slim and compact design. It takes its design cues from the Shine 125 but features fewer cuts and creases on the bodywork. On the other hand, the TVS Radeon looks more stylish and premium with its chrome headlight bezel, rubber grip on the tank, chrome finish on the exhaust, and golden engine cover. TVS has also equipped the Radeon with a luggage hook on the right side and a rear tail rack. Overall, both bikes are aesthetically pleasing, but the TVS Radeon offers more features and premium touches.

Engine and Performance

The TVS Radeon comes equipped with a 109.7cc engine that produces 8.08 bhp of power and 8.07 Nm of torque. In comparison, the Honda Shine 100 is powered by a 98.9cc engine that generates 7.28 bhp of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. The TVS Radeon’s larger engine and higher power output give it an edge over the Honda Shine 100 in terms of performance. Both bikes come with a four-speed gearbox, but the Radeon has an advantage with its five-step adjustable rear suspension.

Wheels and Brakes

Both bikes come with telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, but the TVS Radeon’s rear suspension offers more adjustability. The Shine 100 rides on 17-inch wheels, while the Radeon gets 18-inch alloys. However, the Radeon comes with tubeless tyres, which is a boon in case of a puncture. Both bikes come with drum brakes at the front and rear. Overall, the TVS Radeon offers better ride and handling than the Honda Shine 100.

The TVS Radeon offers better performance, more features, and a lower price tag than the Honda Shine 100. Overall, the TVS Radeon seems to be a better value for money proposition for customers looking for a premium and feature-packed commuter bike. However, if fuel efficiency is a top priority, the Honda Shine 100 might be a better option for you.
