Hyundai Aura facelift: Key details of the newly launched vehicle revealed, bookings start for Rs just Rs 11000

Hyundai Aura facelift: Hyundai just revealed the new looks of the Aura and Grand i10 Nios. Hyundai’s hatchback and compact sedan could be reserved for Rs 11,000 each starting on January 9. Hyundai has confirmed that the Grand i10 Nios will come out later this week. The Aura is also likely to come out at the same time.

Aura’s official brochure has been found online, giving out important information before the launch.

New things added to the Hyundai Aura facelift

Compared to the old model, the new Aura will have a lot of new features. It now comes standard with four airbags, ABS, and EBD. Six airbags, ESC, and hill hold assist can be added as options. Also, the Aura’s head restraints in the back are now adjustable, and the front row’s footwells are now lit up. The instrument cluster has also been changed. It now has two analogue gauges for the speedometer and tachometer and a new 3.5-inch multi-information display (MID) with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Hyundai has replaced the Vintage Brown colour option with the Starry Night colour, which can be found on the Verna, i20, Alcazar, and Tucson. The Aura still has an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger.

Hyundai Aura’s new look: engines

The Aura still has the same 1.2-liter gasoline engine that makes 83hp and 113.8Nm of torque. A CNG kit is also added to this engine, which gives it 69hp and 95.2Nm of torque. Both have a 5-speed manual transmission, but the petrol model also has the option of an AMT transmission. For now, the facelift doesn’t have the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that makes 100hp and 172Nm of torque.

Hyundai Aura’s new look: price and competition

The updated Aura is likely to cost between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh. It will compete with vehicles such as the Tata Tigor, which has a price range of between 6.10 and 8.84 lakh Indian rupees (Lakhs), the Honda Amaze petrol, which has a price range of between 6.89 and 9.48 lakh Indian rupees (Lakhs), and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which has a price range of between 6.24 and 9.18 lakh Indian rupees (Lakhs).
