Is Kawasaki working on a Hybrid Versys? All we know

Kawasaki: A new hybrid power unit for the Versys touring bike has been shown in patent drawings by Kawasaki. Combining a 451cc parallel twin-cylinder combustion engine with a 9kW electric motor creates a hybrid system. The Versys Hybrid would provide a special alternative for long-distance journeys, even though Kawasaki currently offers hybrid options in their Ninja and Z models. With its potential to revolutionise the touring category, the combination of electric and combustion power would offer improved performance and range.

Hybrid Kawasaki Versys expected details

As soon as the battery runs out of power, the user can transition from an entirely electric cycle to an ICE bike, which could improve the bike’s touring capabilities. 69 horsepower is produced by the 451cc parallel-twin engine, for comparison. Features like complete LED lighting, a digital dashboard, manual or automatic gear shift options, and more are what we anticipate.

It might take some time before the Kawasaki Versys Hybrid is formally teased and makes its world debut since it appears to be in the early phases of development at this time.
