Keeway Sixties 300i and Vieste 300: Two-wheeler Keeway recently entered the Indian market with the K-Lite 250V cruiser motorcycle and now the company has also launched two new electric scooters. Their names are the Sixties 300i and the Vieste 300. The company has also announced the price, both these scooters of Keeway are of 300 CC and the initial ex-showroom price of both of them is Rs 2.99 lakh. This price of Keeway scooters is introductory and the company is going to increase them soon.
Keeway is a Hungarian brand formed originally in 1999, presently owned by the Qianjiang (QJ) group based out of the Zhejiang province, China. QJ is also the parent company of the Italian marque Benelli.
Both these new scooters from Keeway have been given a 278.8 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.7 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 22 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The company has equipped this engine with an automatic gearbox. What makes these two scooters different from each other is their design. Of these, while the Vieste 300 is a maxi-style scooter, the Sixties 300i is a retro-designed scooter. Both are strong in appearance, but the answer to how much they are liked among the economy-loving customers in the Indian market will be revealed soon.
Keeway has given disc brakes in the front and rear wheels of both the new scooters, which have been given dual-channel ABS. While the Sixties 300i gets 12-inch wheels, the Vieste 300 is offered with 13-inch wheels. While the Sixties are available in Matte Light Blue and Matte Grey, the Vieste can be bought in either Matte Blue or Matte Black colours. Both the scooters are given a general warranty of two years/unlimited kilometres. Both these scooters are being sold at Benelli dealerships in India which is the sister company of Keeway.
