New Delhi: Kerala, which is experiencing a rise in the covid cases since past few days has decided to further extend the weekend lowkdown from this week.

A six-member team from the National Centre for Disease Control to the state will be send by the Central Government.

Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, said “as a large number of Covid cases are still being reported in Kerala, the team will aid the state’s ongoing efforts in Covid management”.

According to the sources of the health minister, the state is “focused more on mitigation process of treating cases than containment”.
