Two of the three new models, according to the MD and CEO of Kia India, will be electric vehicle (EV) vehicles by the year 2025. Developed globally by Kia, all new models will be put together in India. Vehicles with conventional engines will continue to be produced for the next 10 to 15 years, according to the business, which anticipates that the EV industry will take off in India by 2025. In order to fulfil the rising demand for its models, Tae Jin Park stated that Kia is aiming to boost its production capacity to 350,000 vehicles annually. The number of vehicles per year may then be raised to 4.3 lakh.

What did the company say?

We have a long-term view of the Indian market, according to Tae Jin Park, who spoke with news agency PTI. Considering that India has the third-largest market in the world, we are all aware of its potential. To grow its market share in India’s passenger vehicle industry, Kia is employing the Kia 2.0 strategy. The corporation has set a goal to go from a 7% market share in the passenger vehicle segment to a 10% market share by the end. Park did acknowledge that the company’s present models are insufficient for its market share objective and that new models are being investigated.
