Kiger Electric SUV: Kiger EV Spotted before Auto Expo 2023; To give a run for money to Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3

Kiger electric SUV: In terms of 2022, Renault India has not had a good year. Their annual sales dropped by more than 9%, to just over 87,000 units. The Renault Duster SUV was one of the company’s most recognisable vehicles, and it was discontinued in 2022, making it unavailable for purchase in India. That happened in 2022. Now that it’s 2023, it looks like Renault India is about to have a great year.

Renault is getting ready to give us Kiger EV instead of Kwid EV

Renault India unveiled the Kwid electric car at the 2020 Auto Expo and said that it would be on the market in two years. We haven’t seen the Kwid EV until now, in 2023. That’s probably because Renault is getting ready to give us Kiger EV instead of Kwid EV.

Instead of the Kwid, the Kiger could be the base for Renault’s first all-electric car for the Indian market. The latest spy photos show that the Kiger EV looks ready to go into production. It could make its world debut at the Auto Expo 2023.

Except for a few details, the ICE Kiger and the pure electric Kiger look the same. The front grille of the electric SUV is covered up.

Under the Renault logo, the charging port is neatly built in. The C-shaped taillights and triple-pod headlights with LED daytime running lights have not changed.

Kiger EV has a touchscreen infotainment system and a steering wheel with three spokes

The Kiger EV’s inside looks like it has been seen before, too. It has a touchscreen infotainment system and a steering wheel with three spokes. On the electric version, however, there is no gear lever like on a normal bike. We still don’t know much about how the Kiger EV works. But we expect the car to have a range of at least 300 km. On the Indian market, it could go up against the upcoming Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3.

The first photos of the Kiger Electric SUV taken by spies are now available. Most of us thought Renault would release Kwid EV, a version of the same car that has already been released in many countries. But now that spy photos of the electric Kiger are showing up on the internet, it seems pretty clear that this will be Renault’s first electric car in India. Talking Cars is the source of the spy photos of the Kiger EV. The design of the Kiger Electric is the same as that of the Kiger ICE. It comes in the same shade of blue as the Kiger gasoline. The charging port is under the logo on the front.

Renault Kiger Electric has also has the hand brake lever

The inside of a Renault Kiger Electric has also been seen. The layout is the same as the gasoline Kiger, but there is no gear lever. Instead, the Kiger EV has buttons and a knob that you can turn to choose the mode of drive. You can also see the hand brake lever. The petrol Kiger has the same door panels, steering wheel, and seat fabric. Specs and Price Range The Kwid EV in China has a battery and electric motor that could be used in the Renault Kiger EV.

It has a 26.8 kWh battery pack that will power the motor to make 44 hp and 125 Nm of torque. About 300 km is said to be the range. Since the Kiger is a little bit bigger than the Kwid EV, it could hold a bigger battery pack. This will help make the range longer, maybe up to 350 km. At the moment, Renault sells the Kwid, the Kiger, and the Triber. All of them have petrol engines. Since all three of these cars are built on the same platform, Renault could probably make a Kwid or Triber EV in the future. Magnite, Kiger’s cousin, is also likely to benefit, and Nissan could launch an electric version of Magnite later this year.

With the release of their first electric car, 2023 could be an exciting year for Renault India. The Renault Kiger EV will compete with cars like the soon-to-be-released Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3. Renault could charge between Rs 10-15 lakh for the Kiger EV. This week, at the 2023 Auto Expo, more information will be shown.
