Manish Sisodia Presents Budget

The budget for the year 2022-23 of the Kejriwal government of the capital Delhi is being presented in the Legislative Assembly. Presenting the budget, Delhi Finance Minister Manish Sisodia has said that I am going to present the employment budget this time in this house. Earlier we had presented education, green, health and patriotism budget. With this budget, we will create 20 lakh jobs in Delhi in the next five years.

Counting the development works done in his government, Finance Minister Manish Sisodia said that ‘today due to 7 budgets, schools and hospitals have become good. Roads and metro lines have expanded. Women’s safety has got a boost and youth have got WiFi.’

He said that ‘I am going to present the employment budget this time in this house. As a result of the successful budget of the last 7 years, 1 lakh 78 thousand youth were given employment in Delhi, 51,307 confirmed government jobs were given, which were given through DSSSB examination, in the last 9 years no jobs were given, we were told that It will take 38 years to fill these posts. But we did it in 7 years. This figure is only for government jobs.’

‘By 2047, the income of the people of Delhi will be equal to that of Singapore’

He said that last time there was a budget of patriotism. We have brought a proposal to give relief to business and people in this eighth budget. Zero Red Policy is applicable for traders in Delhi, there was a lot of loss during Covid in Delhi. But the government still helped the traders. He said that ‘I am presenting this budget to fulfill the dream of making the income of the people of Delhi equal to Singapore’s by 2047.

The Finance Minister said that ‘Delhi’s economy is emerging little by little from Covid. The service sector plays a major role in the economy of Delhi. The average income of the people of Delhi has increased by 16.8%. He said that for the year 2022-23, I am presenting a budget of Rs 75,800 crore. This is two and a half times the budget of Rs 30,940 crore in 2014-15.

Manish Sisodia said that ‘We will organize Retail Festival in Delhi, Delhi Whole Sale Festival will be organized for Whole Sale, Gandhi Nagar will become a new hub of Market, Electric City, Green Energy and International Film Festival will also be organized in Delhi. Will conduct employment audit in Delhi.’

He said that ‘Delhi Bazar portal will be started to connect small local markets with customers. Gandhinagar, which is the largest textile trading center in Asia, will be developed as a Delhi Garment Hub. The government is coming up with a new startup policy and under this new policy, the population standing to seek jobs is to be converted into a job-seeker population. I propose Rs 250 crore for wholesale.’

He said that the daily turnover of Gandhi Nagar Market is more than 100 crores. It will be developed as a great garment hub. In the next 5 years, 40000 employment opportunities will be created here.

Rs 475 crore for Mohalla Clinic


Sisodia said that Rs 475 crore will be given for Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinic and Aam Aadmi Polyclinic. So far 5.49 crore people have got treatment in Mohalla Clinics. School clinics were started in Delhi schools so that children can be checked up. Delhi government is going to take two big steps HIMS- made eHealth card available to all citizens of Delhi. This will make it easier to get timely and better treatment, for this a provision of 160 crores will be started, apart from this, a free health helpline will be started, those who have a health card can call on this helpline and ask where to get treatment for which disease. Appointment will also be given in the hospital on the basis.
