Maruti Suzuki eVX spotted being tested in India with ADAS, Details

Maruti Suzuki eVX, in production ready condition, was sighted testing; it will compete with ZS EV, Elevate EV, Curvv EV, Mahindra BE.05, and other vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki eVX: As a sneak peek at its first-ever electric SUV, Maruti Suzuki debuted the eVX concept at the 2023 Auto Expo about a year ago. The more advanced eVX had its global debut at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo towards the end of 2023. Its inside was also seen for the first time. For Maruti Suzuki, both in India and worldwide, the eVX is extremely significant.

Maruti Suzuki eVX spotted with ADAS

Currently, we can clearly see the ADAS module in a new spy photo, confirming the addition of ADAS to eVX. With the exception of ADAS, the test vehicle appears to be completely production-ready and unlike any prototype.

We can see a peek at the Maruti eVX’s design in addition to ADAS. The prominent front and rear fenders are what draw the eye. Additionally, it looks like the headlamps are fully assembled and ready for manufacturing. Another distinctive feature of the ORVM positioning is its compatibility with 360-degree camera setups. The back door handles, which are perched on the pillar, are additional finishing touches.

Expected powertrain and price details

The eVX will likely have a claimed range of about 550 km thanks to a 60 kWh battery pack. It will be built on the YY8 skateboard chassis, which is based on Toyota’s 27PL. It is anticipated to have a competitive starting price of approximately Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
