After the announcement of Dhankhar's name, Amit Shah had tweeted and said that I am sure that the honor of our Upper House will increase further with the election of Jagdeep Dhankhar ji as Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha. After meeting Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, he congratulated Jagdeep Dhankhar on being elected as NDA's Vice Presidential candidate. Born in a simple farmer family, Dhankhar ji's life was dedicated to the welfare of the people and upliftment of the society.
