North Korea Fires Ballistic Missile Over Japan

North Korea fired a missile over Japan in its series of weapons tests. North Korea fired it over Japan in the Pacific Ocean. This act of Kim Jong-un caused a stir in Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has condemned North Korea’s missile test. Trains have been stopped in some areas in Japan as a precaution.

According to reports, North Korea has conducted this fifth ballistic missile test in 10 days. There is speculation that dictator Kim Jong Un is gearing up for his first nuclear test in five years.

The North Korean missile was discovered by the Japanese Coast Guard and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea. After this, residents of northern Japan have been advised to take shelter in safe places. Train services have been temporarily suspended in north-eastern Hokkaido and Aomori regions.

Earlier in 2017, North Korea had done such an act when it fired missiles over Japan. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called North Korea’s move “barbaric”.

According to the Yonhap news agency, South Korean President Eun Suk Yol has warned of a strong reaction. Japan and South Korea have called their respective National Security Council meetings after North Korea’s missile test.

Japan’s public broadcaster NHK said the missile flew about 4,000 km and reached an altitude of 1,000 km, landing in the Pacific Ocean after about 22 minutes in the air. It was launched from the north near the Chinese border.

The South Korean military said it had detected a suspected medium-range ballistic missile that was launched at around 7:23 a.m. this morning from the Mupyeong-ri area of ​​Jagang province and passed over Japan in an easterly direction.

According to reports, Pyongyang considers its ballistic missile tests a rehearsal for an attack in view of joint military exercises by the US and South Korea. The US and South Korea demonstrated their advanced weapons in a joint exercise celebrating Armed Forces Day on Saturday (October 1).
