Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the state government has transferred financial assistance to 35.5 lakh additional women, fulfilling another key commitment aimed at promoting women’s financial independence.

Sharing the update, the Chief Minister said that after providing the honorarium to 33 lakh women on July 1, the government has now credited funds to the bank accounts of another 35.5 lakh beneficiaries.

Mann also stated that women who submitted their application forms after the initial deadline will receive three months’ financial assistance in a single installment, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries are not left out of the scheme.
Highlighting the objective of the initiative, the Chief Minister said the financial support is intended to help women meet their personal and family needs without having to depend on others. He described the assistance as a rightful benefit for eligible women and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering them economically.
The Chief Minister added that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is focused on delivering on its promises through concrete action and implementing welfare schemes for the people of Punjab.
