PM Modi: Visit to Germany was productive

PM Modi in Europe: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an important tour of Europe from May 2 to 4. The Prime Minister arrived in Germany on the first day of the tour. Today he will be in Denmark.

“My Germany visit has been a productive one. The talks with @Bundeskanzler Scholz were extensive and so were the Inter-Governmental Consultations. I got a great opportunity to interact with business and Indian community leaders. I thank the German Government for their hospitality,” he tweeted.

The PM, who arrived in Germany on Monday, was given a grand welcome. The Prime Minister met people from the Indian community here. In Germany, the Prime Minister spoke about the massive reforms undertaken by his government and the growing number of start-ups and unicorns in India.

On Monday, India and Germany emphasized the importance of a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific. Underscored free commerce and freedom of navigation in accordance with international law. These were stated in a joint statement issued by the two countries after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz co-chaired the sixth round of intergovernmental consultations.

PM Modi addressed the people of Indian community in Berlin. During this, he said, ‘I am fortunate that I got an opportunity to meet the children of ‘Maa Bharati’ in Germany. It feels great to meet you all. Many of you have come to Berlin from different cities in Germany. In the morning I was very surprised that it is so cold here but many small children also came at 4-4.30 in the morning. Your love and your blessings are my great strength.’

Addressing the Indian community in Berlin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that of the total real-time digital payments that took place throughout the world in 2021, 40 per cent took place in India.
